For those of you who may be following the Meritt Island story, I have an update.  This is something that National Audubon and our state office in Florida are working on:

Another alert to come later in the day about some legislation related to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and loose enforcement that has amounted to little more than a slap on the wrist for some pretty flagrant un-permitted incidents of hawk killings.  These un-permitted takes were an attempt by the pigeon fancier community to reduce predation of 'roller' pigeons.
