For those of you who may know of Stratford Residents who would be supportive of the sale of Long Beach to the USFWS for inclusion in the McKinney NWR, it would be important to mobilize any supporters among Stratford residents that we can find for this meeting:

We have heard that two Councilmen from the Lordship/Long Beach districts in Stratford will be holding a 'Public Input' session regarding the possible sale of Long Beach to the USFWS for inclusion in the Stewart B. McKinney NWR, on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30 in the Council Chambers (Councilmen Michael Julian and Alvin O'Neal). It would be good for some Stratford residents who are supportive of conserving the natural resources of Long Beach to be at this meeting to speak up for the ecological importance of the area and its importance to birds and birding.

As far as I know, only Stratford residents will be allowed to speak, but if I hear differently I will post.

Patrick
