In the flock of 3-5 white throated sparrows which have been frequenting my
yard all winter, I have noticed two of them are of the "tan stripe" variation.
(as seen on page 100 of Birds of Connecticut-field guide). This makes the
markings of the "white stripe" white throated sparrows seem so brilliant and
bright in contrast.

Regarding my Carolina wren which has been in my yard all winter, I have seen
it on my suet feeder on occasion, but didn't know that is anything unusual.
