[CT Birds] Carolina Wrens

I checked on Cornell's birdhouse network site re. Carolina wrens:

They begin breeding anytime between mid-March to early April. Usually, the male builds nests in a number of sites and the female makes the final choice of house location. Yours may just be getting a jump on trying out the prime nesting spots - mid-March will be here before we know it!

We've had a nestbox in our backyard for years - it never drew any attention. This morning we saw a pair of Carolina Wrens entering the box with nesting material.
