Great web site. His description of how "tame" the birds are when they land there reminds me of a fishing trip I took years ago. Columbus Day weekend about 20 years ago we chartered a 42 ' boat for a tuna trip. Long story short we got caught in a nasty Nor'easter about 80 miles offshore. Just as the storm hit us, a flock of about 15 Yellow-Rumps landed on board and proceeded to sit on our heads, shoulders, etc (any port in a storm?). Amazingly enough we were able to move all of them inside the cabin where we all hunkered down together for a very long and sleepless night. I have video of them perched on us, on cabinet doors, and on the rod racks overhead. The next day was bright and calm as we headed back to Pt. Judith, R.I. When we got about 1/4 mile from shore they all took off towards the mainland.
