    Now that the snow is beginning to melt , and the sun is becoming warmer in the March sky,  I often think of 
a Thoreau precept that reminds me of the coming spring, and the Hermit thrush that I listen for each
year, telling me - true spring has finally arrived!    Paul Carrier
