I had a glimpse of a probable early Broad-wing in my Wilton yard last Friday
Feb 29th. At the time, I thought, "that sure looked like a Broad-wing, I
wonder what it was?" Now that others have seen early ones, I'm thinking it
was more likely than I originally thought.

Anyway, with early migrants in mind, I spied out the various Osprey nest
sites visible from the Amtrak train up the coast from Stamford to Boston
today, with most of them being between Branford and New London. Sorry to say
I didn't see any Ospreys or any signs of nesting activity.
