Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- AMERICAN BITTERN, PEREGRINE FALCON,  
BONAPARTE'S GULLS, NORTHERN PINTAIL
Other species recorded: Canada  Goose, American Black Duck, Mallard, Surf 
Scoter, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye,  Hooded Merganser, Red-breasted Merganser, 
Red-throated Loon, Common Loon, Horned  Grebe, Northern Harrier, Killdeer, 
Ring-billed Gull, Herring Gull, Great  Black-backed Gull, Mourning Dove, Blue 
Jay, American Crow, Horned Lark,  Black-capped Chickadee, White-breasted 
Nuthatch, Carolina Wren, American Robin,  European Starling, Cedar Waxwing, 
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Song Sparrow,  White-throated Sparrow, Northern Cardinal, 
Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle,  Brown-headed Cowbird, House Finch. 4 Harbor 
Seals.
 
>From 8 - 11 AM, we birded the Meig's Point area mostly and then checked the  
West Beach parking lot on a report of 6 Red Crossbills there.  We heard,  then 
saw, the first Killdeer of the spring for most of us!
