Hi All,

The University of Pittsburgh has digitalized all of the known art works of John James Audubon and also the companion text, Ornithological Biography. Graciously, they have presented them on the internet for everyones' enjoyment. What an incredible undertaking.
After reading the main body of text in the center of the home page, I clicked on "Browse Plate Thumbnails" on the right side of the page. When the first thumbnail page came up, I clicked on 'The Bird of Washington", and when that larger picture came up, on the left side of the page there is a link that says "Entry in the Ornithological Biography" which are his field notes of his study of the selected bird and in this particular case, his report of the then legal method of collection for this bird. I find his writing rivals his artwork, and I hope you enjoy them too.
     Thank you, University of Pittsburgh!
