Sorry for the multiple posts today.  There seem to be more than the usual number of summer jobs for bird related activities this year.  Here is information on two more positions:

Supervisor: Chris Cohen, Education Program Manager
Dates of Employment: June 23-August 15, 2008, M-F 8:00 AM-3:00 PM (includes staff training). No camp July 4th.

Qualifications: Knowledge of local ecology and natural history; college coursework in biology, ecology, or related field preferred. Experience working with children necessary. Ability and desire to work outdoors and lead nature hikes. Enthusiasm for nature and teaching. Must have current immunizations/ medical forms.
Summer camp naturalists will be required to participate in a training week prior to the start of camp that will involve learning local ecology, hiking trails with Audubon naturalists and planning the 7 week camp curriculum.  Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during training.
Responsibilities: Planning and teaching week-long nature programs for small groups of middle school students in grades 4-8.  Activities may include simple science investigations, nature hikes, environmental games and crafts developed under the direction of the Day Camp Director and Education Specialist at Bent of the River.  Each summer camp week will have a different theme that will guide curriculum development and will include a special guest scientist or speaker.
