[CT Birds] still frozen lakes

Here in the northwest corner, in Harwinton, saw first flock of Red-winged Blackbirds fly over.
 Also saw 6-10 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at  Lead mine  brook  rd - swamp.  Still frozen solid though. 

Also of note: Most all of the lakes and many of the ponds up here are still frozen solid. 
 We are waiting for the thaw to come that will  allow ducks and other water birds to move 
inland as the lakes and ponds open.  Most rivers seem to be open though.
