[CT Birds] Blackbird morning

I started the first day of my two day Feeder Watch period this morning (Friday, March 7) to "blackbird fest" at my feeder here in Washington, CT. First I had two grackles. Then my local crows showed up. After that it was two cow birds. A red-winged blackbird then put in brief appearance. The "word" must have gotten out to other grackles because suddenly a group of about 20 grackles appeared near the feeder. The grackles did not stay too long as the local jays had taken over the feeder. My isn't spring wonderful. Almost forgot, I also had a female purple finch here this AM too.
