First of the year for us, an American Oystercatcher resting on the rock east of the island off Middle Beach Road in Madison. Also in the area a raft of 12 Surf Scoters. Another raft of 8 Surf Scoters was seen from East Wharf. Horned Grebes everywhere from West Wharf to Hammonasett. All seen between 9:50 - 10:10 a.m. EST. Jim Link & Pat McNichol
