[CT Birds] Hawks and cars

I've seen quite a bit of cruelty to wildlife and have never understood it. 
One day while going into the grocery store, a bird flew into a moving car in 
the parking lot and was stunned.  My husband ran out into the parking lot to 
grab the bird till it could recover from being stunned, and a young boy got 
to it first and proceeded to stomp on the poor bird with his foot.  I was 
sickened by that act and often wonder what that young boy will grow up to be 
like.
