Aspetuck Reservoir in Easton: I am not an expert birder but I think I
saw 4-6 tree swallows flying low across the surface of the water.
They were the right size and color: white bodies with sharp, dark
green wings. They flipped back and forth, turning on a dime and
flying very fast. I spotted them through binoculars but they were
gone before I could rush back with my scope. I kept looking for them
but had no further sightings. I was standing at the south end near
the falls looking north and they were near the middle of the
reservoir heading away from me.
