Hi Folks

Here is what;s happening in Bidgeport (today).

More interesting stuff going on. Just outside the mouth of Ash Creek
there was a cluster of Brant, Scaup and Bufflehead feeding on the
surface. (not diving) The Bonaparte’s Gulls were feeding on the edge
of the group. The kicker is that a group of 230 Ring-billed Gulls
roosting on the shore within sight of the feeding birds and did nothing!

Ducks Ducks and more Ducks. Things were really hopping off Black Rock
Harbor. Several large rafts of Scaup. A boat coming out of Ash Creek
scared everything up with Brant and Scaup flying everywhere making it
impossible to get a good count. The unknown shorebirds were feeding
on rocks at the base of the furthest harbor marker, one nearly looked
into the sun. Again no loons seen.

The Lesser Scaup and the Canvasback were in the lower harbor (seen
from Beacon St.)

The Killdeer were in a cluster roosting on one of the lawns. The
Yellowlegs was was in the pond.
