[CT Birds] Bald Eagle, Hooded Mergansers

Saw a third year Bald Eagle buzz Latin's Cove, Lake Candlewood, (Danbury) and then stop briefly in my neighbor's tree before being chased off by two crows.  He was back again about two hours later.  

This afternoon eight Hooded Mergansers and a pair of Common Mergansers were fishing the cove.  Twice a common surfaced with a small fish, and didn't appear to be able to get it down.  The fish was eventually dropped.
