[CT Birds] Tricolored Blackbird (?) Vernon

Upon departing Kohls around 545 pm (overcast) I saw a group of  
'blackbirds' near the highway.  But there was a solitary bird in a  
distant tree with an odd call - somewhat melodius.  Walked over for a  
closer view - there was a redwinged blackbird with a white wingbar -  
imperfect lighting to be sure.  Margaret agreed that the wingbar was  
white and not yellow.  The bird changed calls to a more redwing like  
call but it was still different.  My quick web research suggests that  
blackbirds can mimic other bird songs.  Opinions?
