[CT Birds] Tundra swans

Swans still present as of 4:15 PM this afternoon.  Thanks especially to Louise and Jay for posting on these birds early in the day.  I don't recall there being chaseable Tundra Swans in Hartford County, at least since I've been birding, and I was happy to see these birds!

A nice sign of spring -- on the way home I passed a heron rookery in East Granby.  The pond there was still frozen but there were herons on the nests.  Excellent!
