Surprisingly in these strong winds, I found my first 2 Tree Swallows of the season flying over the marsh this morning. The winds kept the rest of the songbirds away from the feeder station. There are 6 Northern Pintails still, and 1 male Ring-necked duck was a first for me here at Milford Point. I didn't venture out to the sandbars, so my eBird report is lacking any Piping Plovers or Oystercatchers that arrived this week.
