Here are the Christmas Bird Count data for Fish Crow in Connecticut
for the period 1950-51 through 2007-08. They are grouped into
northern, mid-state, and coastal counts. I'm not even going to
attempt to align columns of this pasted Excel spreadsheet.

*Does not consider CBC observations of Fish Crow prior to 1950-51.
The data indicate that among northern counts, only Hartford has had
significant numbers of Fish Crows, ranging from 1 to 16 birds per
count year. Hartford is urban (with active land fills in past
years), and Hartford has the Connecticut River. Among mid-state
counts, Oxford has recorded the most Fish Crows. The Oxford CBC has
the Housatonic River. Among coastal counts, the real concentration
of Fish Crows is from Westport CBC to New London CBC, with New Haven
area coastline being the Fish Crow capital of the state. Coastal
counts have recorded 92% of Fish Crows found on our CBCs since 1950.
An interesting feature of these numbers is that Old Lyme-Saybrook has
recorded very few Fish Crows on its CBCs. Perhaps someone can
explain this situation.
