[CT Birds] Fish Crows - Newington

With all the talk of Fish crows on the increase, I thought I'd throw in my
15 cents:
While visiting my mother in Newington a flock of at least 15 Fish Crows
passed over. Most were calling, but I'm assuming all were Fish Crows. The
nearest body of water is Piper Brook (about 1/2 mile away...as the crow
flies. Yes, I said it), which at its widest is about 20' and you could walk
across it and not get your knees wet (excepting the ponds created by the
Army Corp of Engineers for flood control). I have noticed their increase in
the area the past several years. I can't recall ever hearing in Newington
or even away from the shore for that matter until about 2004. But I can't
distinguish how much as been a population increase and how much as been an
increase in me noticing them.
