[CT Birds] Snipe at UConn

Although I don't have much time to bird at this point, I do bring my binoculars most places.  Thankfully today was one of those days I brought them.  As I was walking along the southern end of Horsebarn Hill road I noticed several large wet areas in the field below the road.  Although I was searching the flock of Canada geese for the Cackling goose, I happened to notice one snipe sitting right out in the open and quite obvious.  This prompted me to search for others and including the first ditch across the field to the east, I saw a total of 4 snipe.  If you go, beware that UConn police will ticket you without a parking permit.
 
The geese were there but I never did see the Cackling goose.
