[CT Birds] Rusty Blackbird Migraton Survey on eBird

Dear CT Birders:
I received the following from Brian Sullivan at eBird (see I wasn't the only one thinking that it was important to start tracking Rusty Blackbirds!) Please see below for more information.
Had the first warbler of the year for the yard with a Yellow-rumped on Tuesday Morning, which was a nice hint of spring (yes I realize the winter over too!).

3/27 - Southbury, Audubon Center at Bent of the River, immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK flying over (not too often that we have one here).

Rusty Blackbird Project:

With the help of Steve Matsuoka and the Rusty Blackbird Working Group we've initiated a pilot study of RUBL migration through eBird. In this 'proof of concept' study, we hope birders will get out and look specifically for Rusty Blackbirds, and then report their observations to eBird between 1-7 April . If all goes well we can better tailor the survey for fall migration, and possibly do some target outreach during winter as well...
