[CT Birds] Swans and owls

The three Tundra Swans were still in Goshen, Rt 4 at 4:00PM this afternoon , plus on nearby East st north was seen: 
100+ Cowbirds, 12 Rusty Blackbirds, 3 Tree Sparrows and along this rd for 5 miles I saw 3 seperate day hunting Barred Owls. Does anyone know if this is indeed an invasion year for this Owl? Earlier this winter their was mention of an invasion of Barred owls coming into the USA from Canada.............yes?
