[CT Birds] Great Egrets

an interesting note-
We had 4 GREAT EGRETS show up this afternoon while out in the Plum Bank Marsh, in Old Saybrook. My son, Anders,  had done science fair projects in 2001, 2002, and 2003 in which he recorded when various species arrived back in this marsh. 
GREAT EGRETS-all within a day of March 31.
SNOWY EGRETS  haven't been nearly as reliable. In 2003 they were first found March 22, 2002 March 29, 2001 March 31. 
GLOSSY IBIS  2002-March 29, 2001 April 14.
LITTLE BLUE HERON earliest date April 14
