[CT Birds] Bullock's - Yes, evening

Hi, Nick! Yes, we've done orange halves for the orioles (Northern) that visit our yard. I wait to hang anything until I actually see or hear them around, so I don't end up wasting produce. And we don't bother with a specially-fangled orange feeder: just take a metal garden stake and bend the ends up and back, so it looks like a very long "s". Stick an orange half down on one end (lengthwise, so the pulp faces out, not down) and hang it by the other. I used to put them in our apple tree, but that was too easy a reach for the squirrels. Now I hook them on our clothesline, and it works like a charm.
