[CT Birds] Tricolored Heron and more plus gulls

  4/7 Stratford, McKinney NWR, RR track trail - adult TRICOLORED HERON (beautiful nuptial plumage); 3 WILSON'S SNIPE
  Long Beach - 1 N. GANNET, 4 flyby BLUE-WINGED TEAL; 80+ Long-tailed Ducks
   
  Madison, Hammonasset, Meigs area - AM. GOLDEN PLOVER, adult LITTLE BLUE HERON, c. 20 PURPLE SANDPIPERS end of jetty; 1 male BLUE-WINGED TEAL in pond; 50+ Surf Scoters
   
  Guilford, Leetes I.-Shell Beach marsh - 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS with 50+ Grt Yellowlegs; 4 Snowy Egrets a little farther west
   
  Anybody but Dennis Varza can stop here :)
   
  Long Beach packed with gulls on all the beach sections about 1:30 p.m. - c. 1000 Herring Gulls, 500 Ring-billed Gulls and only about 20 Great Black-backed Gulls. The Herrings were 20% adults and the rest various younger ages; Ring-billeds were 80% adults; Great B-b were c 60-40 adults-imm.
