[CT Birds] EVENING GROSBEAKS and others -

Today, Sat 12, at feeders in Harwinton, saw:

10 Purple Finch, plus: (heard EVENING GROSBEAKS in back woods, but did not see) 

As Patrick C. just had, Also today I had the three trillers in yard. Junco, Pine Warbler and Chipping Sparrow to get my ears in shape for whats to come. The Pine Warb is eating from the suet, and just seen in the garden was a Palm Warbler as well. ..............let the coming of  the warblers begin ! - 

Its been a long winter which appears to have gone, for its been 2 days since the last of the Redpolls has departed, and spring seems to be here in the Connecticut north country. -  Though my brother up in West Hartland is still seeing SNOW in the woods there!
