Migration seems slow at Greenwich Point compared to the rest of the state.
Highlights of today's visit:

Hermit Thrush 2
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Tree Swallow
Northern Rough-wing Swallow 2
Brant 120-130
Red-breasted Merganser
Northern Yellow-shafted Flickers 9
Snowy Egret 2
White-breasted Nuthatch 8

While walking through woods, I came upon a Red-tailed Hawk on the ground,
intent on something rustling under the leaves. Ignoring my presence, he persisted
in his vigil, tilting his head from one side to another, back and forth, listening for some delectable, furry morsel. He found nothing and eventually moved on.
Pretty amazing to watch.
