[CT Birds] Redpoll still

Wala!  -  The one female COMMON REDPOLL was back at the feeder this morning in Harwinton, Wed April 16th. Please keep posting your sightings of this bird. My friend Paul Desjardines's late record for Common Redpoll was in W Hartford, I believe  April 22nd,  1956?  or there abouts.  Can we break  it? 

Also this morning had 26 PURPLE FINCH with 6 females - 4 more then yesterday, and yard was full of Kinglet song - only 2 Golden though. Also, as Paul Ci- in Canton reported, I have had 3 male and several female Sapsuckers in yard tapping and chasing around now for days. They do nest here each year, but this is so many birds courting for such a small area. 

yesterday,April 15th, had  12 Rusty Blackbird at Nepaug pond off rt 202,  and  2 Kestrel at Bakerville swamp, New hartford.
