[CT Birds] Mansfield area, 4/16/08

UCONN, Storrs:
7:00 am 6 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS  and 1 Cedar  Waxwing, West side of the CLAS 
building in the large tree behind the parking  lot.  Saw them come flying in from 
the east.
7:20 am, Horsebarn Hill, east side, 2 AMERICAN KESTRELS, M and  F, In the 
large trees just north of the horsebarn and rink.   Hope  there is a nest box for 
them somewhere near there.
7:40 am 1 Savannah Sparrow and at least 10 Chipping  Sparrows next to the 
curve at the bottom of the north end of the  hill.
7:50 am 5 WILSON'S SNIPE in the field across the road from the  horsebarn, 
seen to the east of the horse pens from the fueling  station.
 
Nachaug S F, Eastford, west side of the Natchaug River  near the old (closed) 
bridge:
2 Louisiana Waterthrushes, 
2 Blue-headed Vireos,
1 Hermit Thrush
 
Windham Airport from the Mansfield Hollow levee off Rt US  6:
2 EASTERN MEADOWLARKS
 
Eagleville Preserve, Mansfield:
4 Palm Warblers
 
Don Morgan
Coventry
