>From Kevin Burgio:

4/17 - East Rock Park, New Haven - 1 NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH

I also saw only one Palm Warbler and a male/female pair of Wood Ducks.

My field notes on the Northern Waterthrush:

Light yellow (almost creamy yellow) supercilial stripe. Beak: pinkish. Crown: brown. Throat and Breast: Light (creamy) yellow heavily streaked with brown. Streaks were very defined on breast and became slightly less defined as they moved back towards the flank and belly (both flank and belly were also light yellow). Legs: pink. Impression: seemed to me as less robust (or meaty) than the Louisiana Waterthrush I saw two days ago. Vocalizations: None. Habitat: hopping along on rocks on the edge of a very slow moving part of the Mill River. Observation time: approx two to three minutes (around 8:25ish). Bird was startled by a passing jogger and flew off.
