Hi All,

Congrats to Frank - a great find. He mentioned to me that anything was possible there when I sent him some details about what I was seeing in terms of Semipalmated Sandpiper flocks in fall so it seems his words were prescient (they reach into two or three thousand regularly along the river there). The park is on the coastal access site for CT here: http://www.lisrc.uconn.edu/coastalaccess/site.asp?siteid=377? Usually the best time to hit the spot is in the morning two or three hours after high tide. In the afternoon you are sometimes better parking across the other side of the river somewhere off Riverside Ave but there isn't really parking for numbers of people there.
