[CT Birds] Blue-winged Teal, Northern Pintail

Andrew Dasinger and I kicked off the Hartford Audubon Society Annual Spring Census by spending most of our time birding a flooded and muddy Glastonbury Meadows.  Highlights are:

7 Blue-Winged Teal
4 Northern Pintail
400+ Green-Winged Teal
10+ Ring-Necked Ducks
20+ White-Crowned Sparrows
3 Common Snipe
2 Fish Crow
1 Tree Sparrow (late?)
9 Raptors including 1 Merlin and 1 American Kestrel

Total of 72 species were noted today.
