My first chipping sparrow of the season showed up today. 
Also, my red breasted nuthatch reappeared after an absence of  several weeks.
One of the male house finches is doing quite an elaborate  song & dance (with 
tail straight up and his neck outstretched), hopping up  & down to attract a 
mate.  Hope he is successful.  He  certainly sings up a song.
