4/27 - Cheshire yard, at least 1 PINE SISKIN singing and eating thistle, 1 male eastern towhee calling and eating thistle.
4/26 - Cheshire, Qunnipiac Valley Audubon Society walk at Riverbound Farm, 5+ yellow rumped warblers, 1 palm warbler, 1 female eastern towhee
I have a georgeous male red bellied woodpecker that has excavated a nesting hole in a neighbors tree. He has been singing non stop for about 2 weeks trying to get a girl. He does a great job of keeping the other male, from across the street, away. I hope he gets a girl soon, I need to see some red belly babies!!!
