[CT Birds] GBH rookery & pesticides

I am not familiar with the area of Babbs Rd & Route 168  where  a GBH rookery 
has been reported, as well as a notice of pesticide  application.
However, I was given  a number to call from the DEP, to  inquire about the 
issue; and this is what I was told.
"The farmer has the right to treat the tobacco fields, if  needed, using the 
proper pesticides at the proper rates. They should not be used  in a manner 
that allows those pesticides to drift off site onto sensitive areas.  Our office 
will investigate if there is any concern. The phone number in  Hartford is

I will call on Wednesday, just to have someone investigate  .
