At 9:00 am 7 GLOSSY IBIS next to the Swan Pond at the west end. Later 2
by the western picnic pavillion. Saw them flying back and forth in the area
all day.
1 Little Blue Heron at the Swan Pond and 1 at the Meig's Point Nature Center
pond.
Many Snowy Egrets and several Great Egrets in all parts of the park.
2 Willets each at the marsh reclaimation area near the blind, reclamation
area near the beach lot, and the Nature Center pond. Not sure of there was 6
total or if they were following me around.
2 Boat-tailed Grackles where the trails split on Willard's Island. The
female was carrying nesting materials into the cedars and the male was standing
guard in a tree. Saw him make quick work of chasing a crow. Looks like they
are planning on staying.
At least 1 Barn Swallow along with the Tree Swallows at the Swan Pond and
the campground area.
Many Savannah Sparrows and Chipping Sparrows in the camp area.
All the Osprey platforms are busy.
No sign of the White-rumped Sandpiper.
