I just got a call about a well described adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER in Southbury at a feeder. I have the address and phone number of the homeowner and they don't mind people visiting if they call first (they have a Doberman, so not checking first might not be good if they aren't home). If anyone is interested, please let me know and I can get you their contact info.
Also today at the Bent:
>From Patrick Comins, Donna Rose Smith, Chris Field and Justin Coppola:
5/2- Southbury, Audubon Center at Bent of the River- Adult WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW.
5/2- Waterbury, PEREGRINE FALCON atop one of the billboards on the north side of I-84. These birds have been more hit or miss of late...hopefully they will be around on Birdathon day next weekend.
