While waiting for her school bus yesterday (Thursday 1st May) morning in
Wilton, CT, my daughter spotted a v-shaped flock of what from her
description seem likely to me to have been sand hill cranes flying
North. They were "grayish" with long, broad, wings and legs extended
behind. The lead bird seemed to have a lighter or white neck. They were
not swans, geese or egrets.
Is this likely?
