>From Scott Kruitbosch:
5/2 - Stratford yard -- 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 1 Blue-winged Warbler, 1
(or 2) Yellow Warblers, 8 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 1 Black-throated Green
Warbler, 1 Pine Warbler, 1 Black-and-white Warbler, 1 Common Yellowthroat, 1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak, 3 Wood Thrush, 1 Catbird
Boothe Park -- 3 Yellow Warblers, 1 Baltimore Oriole
Roosevelt Forest -- 2 Pine Warblers, 2 Ovenbirds
This is the first really strong day of migration in Stratford. The
Blue-winged, Yellow-rumped, BT Green, Yellowthroat, Ovenbird, Grosbeak, and
Wood Thrush were FOY for me here. There are still many absent migrant
species (Palm Warbler?!) . I had some amazing misses including Red-tailed
Hawk, Monk Parakeet, Mockingbird, Hermit Thrush, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and
any type of Vireo.
And I haven't seen any Purple Gallinules.
