Stopped on Nichols Hill Rd between South St and Painter Ridge Rd here in Washington, CT late this morning (Sunday, May 4) to see what might be cooking bird wise. Heard a ruffed grouse drum once and had the following migrants, all singles: wood thrush, gray catbird, Nashville warbler (a lovely male in a flowering apple tree), and ovenbird.
