>From Bev Propen 5/4 Orange
At the sunflower chip feeder in my yard at 11AM I had FOY rose breasted
grosbeak (male).
I got a new model Oriole feeder. It takes 2 halves of orange/apple and has
a stainless steel cup for jelly. It seems that my gray squirrel loves the
strawberry jam as well as the apple halves I left there. Orioles haven't seen
it yet.
I bought organic grape jelly at Stop & Shop. Their brand of Nature's
Promise is organic and no corn syrup. It seems the gray squirrel likes that too.
At a later afternoon walk through East Rock park around the lake, I saw a
Chestnut sided warbler, White eyed vireo, 2 kinglets (couldn't see the
crown), numerous Baltimore orioles among the regulars.
