>From Bev Propen 5/5 Orange

My yard is so loud with singing birds, it's beautiful!
Everything seems to have paired off so far, except our male rose breasted
grosbeak who is waiting for his special someone. (He just arrived on Sunday.)
My new oriole bird feeder is a big hit with my gray squirrels. They sip the
grape jelly and it stole the orange half.
So I placed the orange half in a different location, so now I have noticed
the catbirds and red bellied woodpeckers gobbling the orange pieces.
Orioles better get here quickly or I will rename the feeder, other than an
oriole feeder.
We have a male housefinch which has been here, on and off, for quite some
time. It has the orange coloration on its head, throat and upper chest,
instead of the red.
I wonder if that orange coloration transfer to its young, if it
breeds.....does anyone know?
