[CT Birds] Martin and Blk Tern

Today at 11:00, scoped Barkhamsted reservoir in the drizzle. saw 1 Loon (sp) many swallows way out, and within the Swallows was a lone BLACK TERN.

At Highland Lake @ 2:30 in Winsted, counted over 600 Swallows in the rain traversing the water. Had all the species cept Bank, Barns and Tree swallows were predominant, and a surprise of 2 PURPLE MARTIN within the melee was exciting.
