[CT Birds] Milford Pt whimbrels, skimmer, etc.

I visited Milford Point 7-8pm on 6/1, with the tide
mid-high and rising, and with beautiful light and
temp. The sandbars were loaded with shorebirds and
gulls. Highlights were:
2 WHIMBRELS, 6 RED KNOTS, 1 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER,
1000 Semipalmated sand., 100s each of BB Plover, Ruddy
Turnstone, also many Dunlin, Semipalm. plover,
Sanderling; 2 Piping Plover, 6 Am. oystercatcher, 1
BLACK SKIMMER, 1 RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, 100 Laughing
gulls
