The Stratford Town Council has scheduled a public hearing pursuant to a state law requirement for Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Stratford Town Hall (may be moved to the High School auditorium across the street). Only Stratford residents will be allowed to speak, but anyone can attend and show support.

A scan of the comments that are posted will show you what we're up against. There are a lot of people who want to see Long Beach and Pleasure Beach developed. Bird habitat is synonymous with wasteland in some people's minds. Anyone can post comments in support of the protection effort. The discussion boards tend to get pretty heated.
