[CT Birds] Friday at Lighthouse Point Park

10/3 - Lighthouse Point Park Hawkwatch - 113 Diurnal Raptors on a day of very strong SW winds. It was Falcon Day! 14 Kestrels, 12 Merlins, and 14 Peregrines, and an additional 2 Unidentified Falcons! Not many small birds could fly into the strong headwinds, but at the end of the day when the wind died a bit and began to go WNW, 50 Tree Swallows and one Chimney Swift went through. Great looks at the birds since the wind had them on the deck.
