The Dovekie entry in Zeranski & Baptist Connecticut Birds refers to "more than 70 sightings and at least 21 speciments preserved since 1849." A November storm in 1932 brought "no fewer than 25 reports and at least 6 specimens taken throughout Connecticut, from Greenwich to Stonington, and some far inland at Meriden, Bristol, and Simsbury (AUK 50:325, BL 35:12)."
